Let's be friends

Hey peeps.  I wanted to do some sort of epic blog post following the craft show lineup (you know, to grab your attention and make you mine), but I had a wedding to shoot this weekend and I don't have any energy left for mind-blowing blog posts.  Instead, I'm going to answers a few quick questions about myself so we can get to know each other a bit and become BFFs.  If you wanna respond by answering the questions for yourself, bonus points!  Here we go:

1.  What was your favourite food as a child?

Is is a cop out to say candy?  Cause yeah, candy.  Straight up.  I used to take spare change and walk to the convenience store and buy penny candies.  Remember penny candies??  And now I feel like I'm 60 years old - "when I was a kid I could buy a candy bar, a pop, and submarine for 5 cents!"

2.  What's the most played song on your ipod?

That prize would probably have to go to Times Like These by the Foo Fighters or Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.  I love me some Foo, and Bohemian Rhapsody is just epic.

3.  What is your favourite quote?

"I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." - Sarah Williams, "The Old Astronomer to his pupil" (not Galileo, as many think).  I love this quote because I interpret it as meaning that if you love something so much, fear will not prevent you from it.  I also see it as, within something negative (the night), there is always some to appreciated (the stars).  And that's our literature lesson for the day, kids.

4.  What is your favourite indoor/outdoor activity?

Indoor - Watching TV or playing video games.  I also enjoy the occasional puzzle.  I'm cool.
Outdoor - Riding my horse or gardening.  Or having some cocktails on the deck.

5. What chore do you hate doing the most?

Umm, all of them?  But seriously, probably anything related to garbage.  My husband deals with the garbage.  Garbage is gross.

6.  What is your favourite form of exercise?

Yoga!  Hands down.  I love yoga.  Shavasana is my favourite.

7.  What is your favourite month of the year?

This one is SO tough, because I love so many for different reasons.  Probably August though.  I love the warm days and cooler nights, the sound of the bugs in the bushes in August (reminds me of my childhood), and I have an annual family reunion when we all congregate in Nova Scotia to spend time with each other.  Love August.

8.  What book are you reading right now?

Game of Thrones, the first book in A Song of Ice and Fire.  I'm a HUGE fan of the show and want to read the books too so I can stop feeling like a poser.

9.  What is the last movie you watched?

X-Men: Days of Future Past.  It was AWESOME.

10.  What's your favourite sound?

Thunder.  Natures amazes me, and thunder and lightning is no exception.  Plus it almost always happens when it's warm outside, and I like warm.

That's it folks!  I've bared my soul.  Your turn.
